Thomas and I want to thank you again for all you have done for us. Thanks to you we can actually visualize our retirement, even though it is over 20 years away. When we first drove up to our new land, it was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. When I asked Thomas what his first thoughts were, he said, "It had me at hello." He told me he didn't even need to get out of the truck to know that he wanted to buy it. You even provided snow shoes for us to use so that we could walk around the property. This is our third 20 acre lot we have purchased with your help and we couldn't be more overjoyed with the process of finding the land, walking the properties, even down to the final paperwork. You take customer service to a whole new level. You gave us the luxury of time. We had time to get to know you, the area, the land and even our new future neighbors. We have actually become close friends with Patti & Mark. I'll never forget them racing up to meet you at our property. They had already purchased lot #13 and raced up beside us and said, "We want lot #14 too!" They knew they would regret letting such a wonderful piece of property slip through their fingers. They put a $20 down payment on the land on the spot and finished the deal later that day. They are as ecstatic about their properties as we are.

 

It has been a true pleasure working with you, Jim. You have not only become our land connection, but our friend. Thomas and I look forward to sharing more ventures with you in the future.

Never could we be so excited about a property purchase. We are newly married and looking towards retirement. We are very familiarized with the Okanogan Country and when my wife came upon the properties for sale at Bonaparte Meadows, we couldn't resist inquiring. We want to thank you sincerely for your hospitality and we also want to let you know that we can appreciate your love for the land. We bought the one lot and then knew if we didn't purchase the other we'd be kicking ourselves forever. That is why we chased you down to buy the other one. Thus...the two lot purchase January 2007. Hello Jim!

 

It has been a long time since we have had the pleasure of your company, but the land you sold us up on White Tail Lane back in October of 2001 is something that I daydream about often.

 

As one of the testimonials referred to, this was an investment that will be a tremendous blessing to our entire family...especially when we are out on that 20 acre slice of heaven!

 

It's been three years, and now two children (Rebekah in 2003 and Josiah, born last month) since we last visited, but we will drop by this spring and say hi.

 

Thank you so much for taking an interest in assisting us the way you did. Our purchase was one of the smartest things we've ever done. And when I see the pictures of the properties on your website, it makes me long to get out there.

 

It is a special place. I felt that way in 2001 and I still feel that way today. And obviously, the secret is out.

Erick and I spent a fantastic few days in the Okanogan Highlands looking at properties, and purchased a lovely 5-acre parcel covered in wildflowers, with a greenbelt and brook bordering the lot line. Truly a wonderful area with lots to do - many lakes and places to hike, and once over the Canadian border I felt like we were in Tahoe or Napa. The land available is beautiful and reasonable. Jim was truly great to work with - he has a sincere passion for what he's doing, and it shows. He's been supportive every step of the way.

In early April of this year, my wife Mary and I took another trip up to the Okanagan to visit the wineries in Canada and to see our little piece of property up in Cape LaBelle Ranch that Jim had sold us a couple of years back. Part of our itinerary was to also view some larger parcels of property, and the next morning on our way to Canada Jim showed us to another location of his, in the Antoine Valley. We absolutely loved the sites he showed us and we spent a couple of hours walking the land, looking at the views and seeing into the future, especially our children's future. One site he showed us was perfect and we ended up purchasing a 20 acre parcel before Jim and I parted company. I consider the Platt's to be friends of mine and I truly believe his sincerity in his devotion to his family and his friends. Jim Platt and all of his associates at RECA have been a real pleasure to work with and owning land is one of the most comforting feelings that I have ever had, and Jim made it all possible.

When we compare the process of buying our property in Aeneas Valley with that of buying our condo in Los Angeles, we are amazed at the differences. The Los Angeles venture included many rushed, stressful days of searching with a real estate agent, signing papers, meeting deadlines, worrying about financing, and so forth.

 

In stark contrast, our Washington experience was like going on a vacation. With great knowledge and enthusiasm Jim enlightened us as to the geography and weather patterns of Washington State and how these affect the properties we were interested in. It was a lot of fun and no stress. After talking about what we were looking for in a piece of property, Jim drove us to several pieces and walked them with us, pointing out the positives and negatives of each and answering our never-ending stream of questions.

 

After two days of looking at beautiful scenery, we found two adjacent pieces of property we really liked. We bought one of them that day, easily taking care of the paperwork and financing right there at the ranch. Then, a few weeks later and back in Los Angeles, we called up Jim and told him we'd like to buy the other piece as well, which we did over the phone and internet. It was so easy! And now we own 40 acres in beautiful Aeneas Valley, and our life-long dreams of owning property in the country have come true!

Looking online for property in the Pacific Northwest, I stumbled unto Jim Platt's website. I could not get the properties out of my mind, and booked a trip ASAP.

 

The hospitality of Jim and his assistant Lou was outstanding. I felt like we had known each other for a long time. They made it feel so comfortable being in a state I’d never been in, looking at land I had only seen on the website.

 

Having done my research on what kind of land I was looking for, everything at Aeneas Valley exceeded my expectations. The beauty of the countryside took my breath away. Jim showed me a property perfect for my needs with enough space for my animals. He was also very knowledgeable in answering my questions not only about the land, but about climate, geology, and history of the county. My fellow future neighbors seem to be equally interested in preserving and protecting this beautiful spot of creation. I am very much looking forward to the building process and making this lands my home!

In searching for property around Idaho and Washington on the Internet, I found Jim's Web Site. When I searched through his listings and started to communicate with him, I found an area I was interested in seeing in person. He listened to our needs and what properties I was interested in seeing. He gave us some suggestions and shown us some other properties for comparison. I had strong feelings for a 21.45 acre lot in Bonaparte Meadows. He didn't try to change our minds or sway us to one of his properties. We purchased the property and are very happy with it. I'm glad we met Jim and his wife, both great people, and glad to have them as neighbors.

 

Also his office staff is great too. Randi is very helpful when I call the office and have questions or just to talk. It will be nice to meet her someday.

In October of 2005 my husband and I had the good fortune of connecting with Jim Platt via his website. We were looking for a quiet parcel to retreat and eventually retire to in Eastern Washington. The first parcel we viewed turned out to be too remote for our abilities, so Jim showed us several contiguous parcels near Mt. Bonaparte. At first glance, it seemed that this wasn't what we were looking for either. However, as we walked the property, we liked it more and more, and by the end, we were ready to buy! From beginning to end, working with Jim was a pleasure. He has a "down home", unpretentious manner, and yet is the consummate professional. We will buy more property from him, as our means allow, and feel very blessed to count him as one of our friends.

It's not every day that you find someone that can perfectly match your interests to a particular piece of property.
